But you can make the perfect workspace in your man-cave or she-shed or maybe it\u2019s an unoccupied nook or a room in your house currently sitting full of junk. Here are some guidelines for creating the perfect home workspace:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DESIGNATE YOUR CHOSEN SPACE. Make sure it\u2019s a place where you won\u2019t be interrupted.<\/li>\n<li>EMPTY THE SPACE ENTIRELY AND CLEAN IT. Maybe even give the walls a fresh coat of paint.<\/li>\n<li>FILL YOUR NEWLY EMPTY SPACE with only objects conducive to your creative process.<\/li>\n<li>CONSIDER ACQUIRING NEW FURNITURE. Possibly a desk, a comfortably chair, a bookcase you can fill with inspiration.<\/li>\n<li>DON\u2019T BE AFRAID TO INVEST in professional help to clean, paint, or assemble furniture. Maybe put a posting on TaskRabbit to get yourself an estimate of costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2><strong>TIPS FOR SCHEDULING DEEP WORK<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SCHEDULE DEEP WORK ON YOUR CALENDAR. Block off several hours on a daily or weekly basis when you know you will not be interrupted.<\/li>\n<li>WHILE SCHEDULING your workday, try to account for every minute.<\/li>\n<li>KEEP A TALLY of how much deep work you\u2019re doing. Know when you\u2019re not doing enough.<\/li>\n<li>DETERMINE IN ADVANCE when or where you will do your deep work. Try to keep it consistent.<\/li>\n<li>DON\u2019T LET YOUR MOOD dictate how your day unfolds.<\/li>\n<li>BE COMFORTABLE ANNOYING PEOPLE. Set the expectation that you may not be available during certain times or quick to respond to emails, calls or messages.<\/li>\n<li>TREAT YOUR SELF to a healthy reward.
